Established in 1961, IMA S.p.A. is the parent company of a Group world leader in the design and manufacture of automatic machines for the processing and packaging of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, tea and coffee. Its marketing companies sell and provide customer service in the relevant geographical areas and an extensive network of agencies in the areas not covered by the branch offices.

Manufacturing and Service Companies

IMA Flavour S.r.l., located in Ozzano dell’Emilia (Bologna) and 100% owned by IMA S.p.A., manufactures tea bag and coffee machines.
IMA Safe S.r.l., located in Ozzano dell’Emilia (Bologna) and 100% owned by IMA S.p.A., manufactures automatic machines for the Packaging.
IMA Life S.r.l., has one production site in Ozzano dell'Emilia (Bologna) and one in Calenzano (Firenze), includes the activities of former Libra Pharmaceutical Technologies and of IMA Aseptic Processing & Filling Division. 100% owned by IMA S.p.a..
Co.ma.di.s. S.p.A., located in Senago (Milan), 100% indirectly owned through IMA Safe S.r.l., manufactures tube-filling machines for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
Zanchetta S.r.l. a company based in Montecarlo (Lucca) and 100% ownde by IMA S.p.A., a company that manufactures machines for dosing pharmaceutical products.
Naturapack S.r.l., located in Ozzano dell’Emilia (Bologna) and 100% owned by IMA S.p.A., sells used automatic machines, after refurbishing and regenerating them, and has recently started a new activity in the containment market (isolators).
Gima S.p.A., based in Zola Predosa (Bologna) and 65% ownde by IMA S.p.A., a company that manufactures automatic machines for food & beverage and personal care industries.
IMA Kilian GmbH & Co KG, located in Cologne (Germany), 100% indirectly owned through IMA Germany GmbH. The company is a leader in the manufacture of tablet press machines for the pharmaceutical industry.
Nova Packaging Systems Inc. a company based in Leominster (USA) and 100% indirectly owned through Packaging Systems Holding Inc., designs and manufactures tablet and capsule counting and bottle filling machines as well as sterile environment liquid filling machines.
IMA Life North America Inc., located in Tonawanda (USA), 100% indirectly owned through Packaging Systems Holdings Inc., manufactures freeze drying machines for the pharmaceutical industries.
IMA Life The Netherlands B.V., located in Dongen (Netherlands), indirectly owned through IMA Life S.r.l., manufactures freeze drying machines for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
IMA Life (Beijing) Pharmaceutical Systems Co. Ltd., located in Beijing(China), indirectly owned through IMA Life S.r.l., manufactures freeze drying machines for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
Swiftpack Automation Ltd. a company based in Alcester (UK) and 100% owned by IMA S.p.a., manufactures tablet and capsule counting and bottle filling machines.
